Key Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and machines
Monitor and control maintenance budgets to prevent overexpenditure
Organize, direct, and motivate the maintenance team for optimal productivity
Provide technical advice for equipment improvement and project management support
Implement ISO, HACCP, DOHSS, and NEMA recommendations
Drive root cause analysis initiatives on equipment performance lossesProcess Documentation & Reporting
Record and maintain documentation of all maintenance activities
Generate and review reports (MTTR, MTBF, utilities, inventory)
Lead stocktake processes and corrective actions against variancesFood Safety
Implement Food Safety Management Systems and customer quality standards
Support food safety team members to drive a positive culture
Resolve equipment breakdowns with root cause analysis
Maintain GMPs above 90% and ensure compliance with legal requirementsOccupational Safety, Health & Environment
Ensure OSHA 2007 compliance for employees, contractors, and visitors
Drive workplace safety culture through inspections and hazard identification
Investigate near misses, accidents, and incidents with timely reporting
Safeguard equipment design to enhance employee safetyContinual Improvement
Implement PaTaMu initiatives and projects for efficiency gains
Identify opportunities for improvement using PDCA and Kaizen methodologies

Oversee staff performance, goal setting, and development

Drive accountability through daily work management and succession planningJob RequirementsMinimum Requirements
Job Requirements
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
At least 8 years’ experience in production and plant operations (3 years managerial level)
Handson experience with modern PLCoperated process equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical data, drawings, and manuals
Project management experience is an advantage
Registered member of the Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK)
Basic finance knowledge and ERP experience preferred
Strong leadership and HR management skills
Competence in problemsolving, team building, planning, and decisionmaking
Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
