We're looking for Sonographers, Ultrasound Technologists, and other medical imaging professionals with hands-on ultrasound experience to support an AI-powered medical imaging project.
As an Ultrasound Image Annotator, you will review ultrasound video frames and accurately identify and label anatomical structures and acoustic shadows. Your work will contribute to the development of high-quality datasets used to train and improve AI-powered medical imaging technologies.
This role is ideal for professionals who have experience interpreting ultrasound images, enjoy detail-oriented work, and can consistently follow precise guidelines.
Previous data annotation experience is not required. Training on the annotation tool and project-specific guidelines will be provided.
What you'll do
Review ultrasound video frames to identify anatomical structures, tissue boundaries, and acoustic shadows.
Accurately outline and label structures using specialized annotation software and detailed guidelines.
Compare images across video frames and reference materials to ensure accurate and consistent labeling.
Identify and flag unclear or low-quality images rather than making assumptions.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and productivity, incorporating feedback to continuously improve.
Participate in training, calibration sessions, and occasional team discussions.
Requirements
Hands-on experience working with and interpreting ultrasound images, ideally as a Sonographer, Ultrasound Technologist, or related medical imaging professional.
Working knowledge of anatomy, particularly bone, organ, and skeletal structures, including how these appear on ultrasound.
Understanding of ultrasound image characteristics, including brightness, depth, tissue boundaries, and acoustic shadowing.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise written instructions consistently.
Comfort using computers and learning new software, including tools requiring accurate mouse or stylus control.
Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and participate in scheduled training and calibration sessions.
Nice to have
Certification or formal training in sonography, radiography, or a related medical imaging field.
Experience in musculoskeletal, spine, organ, or pain management ultrasound imaging.
Previous experience in medical image annotation, data labeling, or image quality review.
Experience working with detailed imaging protocols, reference images, or standardized guidelines.
