We're currently serving over 100,000 unique farmers across the state via our inputs on credit 'Core' program, inputs on cash 'Retail' program, and have a free tree seedling distribution 'Agroforestry' program. Operations & Data Management Protocols
- Own and maintain operational data management protocols across seedling production, farmer enrollment, and distribution.
- Design, build, and maintain advanced data dashboards to track real-time operational KPIs, inventory, and performance metrics.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, forecast capacity, and drive data-informed decision-making across field teams.
- Ensure data integrity, standardization, and seamless reporting across all operational sites and regional teams.
Expansion Mapping & Scaling
- Lead expansion mapping efforts, both internally within existing sites and externally into new states, in close collaboration with the Expansion Team.
- Conduct nursery location feasibility, logistical assessments, and operational modeling to guide successful market entry and program rollout.
- Standardize operational launch playbooks to ensure rapid, high-quality setup of new nurseries.
- Interrogate current operational models to drive continuous productivity, operational efficiency, and year-on-year unit cost reductions.
- Identify, test, and integrate field technology solutions (e.g., automated nursery tools, mobile tracking, GIS mapping) to streamline systems in collaboration with the tech team
- Go to Gemba regularly to audit field operations, map processes, and eliminate operational waste in nursery management and logistics.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate regularly with Supply Chain, Expansion, and Tech teams as it aligns with the requirements of this role.
- Manage vendor, logistics, and resource procurement relationships necessary for seamless field execution.
- Map and mitigate operational risks that impact program timelines, input delivery, seedling delivery, or cost efficiency.
Team Leadership and Talent Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve operational targets and maintain high performance.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and conduct regular training on data tools, field technology, and lean operational practices.
- Conduct bi-annual performance development reviews, set clear targets, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Support recruitment efforts and lead execution of recruitment plans at state or regional level.
- Could be responsible for OAF field operations at a regional level (one or two states).

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- 3+ years years of relevant professional work experience, including leading teams
- Experience implementing projects at the field level
- University degree in Agricultural Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Agroforestry, International Development, or a related quantitative/operational field. Preferred: Project Management Certification.
- Advanced Data Analysis & Dashboarding: High proficiency in visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker), SQL, or advanced Excel for building dynamic operational dashboards.
- Scale mapping: Strong understanding of operational cost drivers and efficiency metrics
- Experience with mobile data collection platforms (e.g., CommCare, ODK, Kobo)
- Operations Management: Proven track record managing complex logistics/inventory/distribution operations in rural context.
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex field data, diagnose root causes, and execute pragmatic, timely decisions.
- Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams across geographically dispersed locations.
- Project Management: Highly organized, self-driven, and adept at managing multi-state project timelines under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively bridge technical, operational, and executive leadership priorities.
