We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Treasury & Accounts Controller to oversee treasury operations, accounting activities, financial reporting, cash management, and banking relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other funding partners.
Monitor daily bank balances, cash positions, loans, and overall liquidity.
Perform bank reconciliations, resolve outstanding/open items, and verify bank charges.
Manage and monitor Letters of Credit (LCs), imports, costing, foreign currency transactions, and exposures.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial projections, and other financial reports.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
Analyse costs, profitability, margins, actual performance against budgets, previous periods, and other key financial indicators.
Support business units in cost control and initiatives aimed at improving financial performance.
Prepare quarterly and year-end financial accounts for regulatory submissions, statutory audits, and annual reporting.
Work closely with external auditors to facilitate statutory and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with the ICT team to improve financial automation, systems, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage.
5+ years of relevant experience in treasury, accounting, financial control, or a related finance function is preferred.
Strong knowledge of treasury management, cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Experience with Letters of Credit, import transactions, foreign currency transactions, and exposure management.
Experience working with external auditors and regulatory financial reporting.
Strong Excel and accounting / ERP systems skills.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
