Job Role

• The Transport & Logistics Assistant supports the coordination and movement of materials, finished products, equipment, and other goods between designated locations. The role assists with transport coordination, loading activities, documentation, and general logistics operations.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Support smooth movement of materials and finished products.
• Assist with transport and logistics coordination.
• Support accurate documentation of movements.
• Ensure timely communication regarding deliveries and collections.
• Support safe and efficient logistics operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Transport Support

• Assist in coordinating movement of materials and finished products.
• Support loading and offloading activities.
• Assist with vehicle allocation and scheduling as directed.
• Monitor movement of goods and report delays or issues.

Documentation & Records

• Assist with transport documentation.
• Maintain records of goods dispatched and received.
• Support verification of delivery information.
• Report discrepancies to the supervisor.

Coordination

• Liaise with warehouse, dispatch, production, and transport personnel.
• Support communication with drivers and relevant teams.
• Assist with resolving routine logistics issues.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow transport and workplace safety procedures.
• Ensure goods are handled safely.
• Report accidents, delays, damages, and other incidents.
• Maintain organized logistics areas.

Qualification

• Minimum KCSE qualification or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing or industrial experience is an added advantage.
• Technical or vocational training is an added advantage.
• Must be physically fit.
• Willingness to work shifts.
