Report to the Regional Director for Africa and work closely with the global Head of Finance & Administration.
Safeguard organisational resources from loss, misuse, or fraud.Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Perform regional financial management tasks including accounting transactions, financial statements, cashbooks, bank reconciliations, payroll, and funds requests.
Undertake regional budget management and support programme teams in compiling, monitoring, and tracking budgets.
Provide administrative support to programmes, grants, and partnerships including procurement and logistics.
Ensure compliance with Transform Trade policies, Tanzanian statutory requirements, and donor requirements.
Review and strengthen internal financial controls and policies.
Support risk management including updating the risk register.
Oversee statutory and project audits and implement audit findings.
Verify financial transactions per policy directives.
Supervise finance & operations assistant and consultants.
Coach and train field staff and partners on policies, financial management, and safeguarding.
Manage leases, assets, and insurance for the regional office.
Provide backstopping support to the global Head of Finance & Administration.Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});Accounting qualification registered with NBAA or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ experience preparing organisational financial statements and donor reports.
Experience managing finances of development organisations with international donor funding.
Strong bookkeeping and financial management skills.
Experience with accounting systems; SAGE 200 preferred.
Experience managing finance staff and building partner relationships.
Familiarity with Tanzanian and Kenyan taxation and compliance rules.
