Job Summary

The TID Intern will support the Technology and Innovation Department in the day-to-day execution of technology, digital, creative, and innovation-related activities across the organisation. The role is suitable for an entry-level candidate with an interest in technology and digital innovation, as well as practical skills in graphic design and social media management.

The successful candidate will assist with basic technology support, conducting research, development of digital content, management of social media platforms, and other technology and innovation initiatives as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic technical and digital support to staff, including troubleshooting common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and organisation of computers, software applications, and other digital tools.
  • Support the TID team in identifying and implementing technology solutions that improve business processes.
  • Assist in researching emerging technologies, digital tools, and innovative solutions relevant to the organisation.
  • Create graphics, presentations, flyers, banners, and other visual materials for internal and external communication.
  • Support the management of the organisation's social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, posting, and basic engagement.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a social media content calendar.
  • Monitor social media trends and recommend relevant content ideas and digital engagement opportunities.
  • Assist with photography, video editing, and other digital content production where required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of digital records, databases, and other technology-related documentation.
  • Assist with website and other digital platform updates where applicable.
  • Perform other technology, innovation, digital media, and administrative duties as assigned by the TID team.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Digital Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Candidates with relevant qualifications in other disciplines and demonstrable technology/digital skills may also be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting.
  • Good graphic design skills and familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of social media management across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and other relevant platforms.
  • Good understanding of digital content creation and social media trends.
  • Basic video editing skills will be an added advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, resourceful, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Experience

0 - 2 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates and candidates with internship or practical experience in technology and innovation are encouraged to apply. Graphic design and social media management skills are an added advantage.
