Territory Development Officer - Kosofe At Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a results-driven Territory Development Officer to drive growth in leases/asset finance within an assigned territory.
• The role involves market research, lead generation, pipeline management, client acquisition, competitor monitoring, and territory development.
• The position is highly target-driven and requires strong commercial awareness and field sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and identify demand, customer segments and untapped business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Map 3-wheeler/tricycle parks, branch and park chairmen, operators, traders, small businesses and other potential customers.
• Build and maintain a minimum pipeline of 100 leads, including at least 30 hot leads.
• Qualify leads based on repayment capacity, income, financing needs and guarantor availability.
• Maintain accurate lead and customer information and follow up consistently to convert prospects.
• Achieve agreed monthly client acquisition and sales targets.
• Work with Credit and Collections teams to support client onboarding and relationship management.
• Monitor competitor activities, including pricing, repayment terms, promotions, loan tenure and market penetration.
• Provide regular market and competitor intelligence reports.
• Maintain accurate daily/weekly activity and sales reports while ensuring compliance with KYC requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or a related field is an advantage.
• 2 - 5 years' experience in field sales, business development, microfinance, asset finance or a related sector.
• Proven experience building and managing sales pipelines.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, relationship management and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of the assigned territory and local market dynamics.
• Target-driven, resilient and comfortable working in a field-based environment.
• Basic digital literacy and ability to use CRM tools, mobile applications or tablets.
• Strong attention to documentation, compliance and reporting.
