Terminal Clerk And Terminal Planner At High Performance Consulting

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the movement and positioning of containers within the terminal.
• Coordinate daily truck and container movements based on operational requirements.
• Monitor yard activities, container flow and truck turnaround time.
• Coordinate with terminal operations teams, drivers and equipment operators to facilitate efficient movement.
• Identify delays or operational issues and escalate where necessary.
• Record and update container and truck movement information.
• Verify container details and relevant operational documentation.
• Capture truck arrivals, loading, unloading and departures.
• Maintain accurate terminal records and prepare daily operational reports.
• Coordinate with drivers and terminal operations personnel to support smooth operations.

Requirements

• Degree/HND in Logistics, Transport Management, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in terminal, shipping, port, transport or container operations.
• Experience in container terminal operations is strongly preferred.
• Experience with container documentation and truck movement records is an advantage.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation, computer and record-keeping skills.
