Tailors are responsible for constructing, altering, repairing, or modifying garments for customers based on their specifications, needs, and preferences. They take customers' measurements, assist in fabric selection, and arrange fittings to determine whether additional adjustments are needed.
Detailed Responsibilities
Discussing design, alteration, or repair requirements with camp head maintenance.
Taking measurements and ensure quality and exact finish.
Accurately recording of measurements, instructions, and preferences.
Attaching labels to materials in use to prevent any errors.
Repair seat covers, head rest, picknick bags, zippers, sliders and also modifying the roof if need be.
Add value to existing design of vehicle canvas, seat covers and guest tents by ensuring frequent checks and PPM.
Constructing of new design ideas, specifications, and preferences.
Providing camp with cost estimates for the construction of customized items.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualification:
Government Trade Test 2 or 3 in Tailoring.
Experience:
Proven experience working as a canvas/tent tailor.
Sound knowledge of material like ripstops, shade net, PVC, sewing thread, braided nylon rope, zip and sliders.
The ability to use a sewing machine.
Skills:
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
