About the Role

Rise Networks is seeking a strategic, technically proficient, and highly organised Technical & AI Programmes Coordinator to lead the design, development, coordination, and implementation of technology and AI-focused programmes.
The successful candidate will combine technical understanding, programme leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking to translate AI and emerging technology opportunities into impactful programmes, projects, learning experiences, and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Technical Programme Leadership:

Lead the design and implementation of AI, data, technology, and digital transformation programmes.
Translate programme objectives into clear technical requirements, work plans, deliverables, and implementation roadmaps.
Identify opportunities to integrate AI, automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies into programmes.
Provide technical direction and guidance to programme teams, facilitators, consultants, and technical partners.
Coordinate the development, testing, deployment, and evaluation of AI-enabled solutions and programme outputs.
Ensure technical deliverables meet agreed quality, functionality, and impact standards.
Stay abreast of developments in Generative AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, AI Agents, Data Analytics, Automation, and emerging technologies.

Programme & Project Management:

Lead programmes from conception through implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and close-out.
Develop programme frameworks, implementation plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, and KPIs.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across technical, programme, research, communications, and operations functions.
Monitor programme progress, identify risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within approved budgets.
Prepare programme reports, technical briefs, presentations, concept notes, proposals, and other documentation.
Technical Training & Capacity Development
Support the design and delivery of AI and technology training programmes.
Develop or oversee curricula, learning resources, technical exercises, workshops, bootcamps, and practical projects.
Coordinate technical facilitators, instructors, mentors, speakers, and subject-matter experts.
Ensure learning programmes remain relevant to industry and emerging technology trends.
Support assessment of participants' technical competencies and programme outcomes.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management:

Build and maintain relationships with technology companies, developers, universities, government institutions, development organisations, funders, startups, and ecosystem partners.
Represent Rise Networks in technical meetings, workshops, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
Support strategic partnerships and collaborative AI/technology initiatives.
Contribute to proposals, funding applications, partnership documents, and business development opportunities.

Research, Innovation & Impact:

Conduct or oversee research into emerging AI and technology trends, tools, use cases, and opportunities.
Identify technology solutions that address development, education, workforce, governance, and social-impact challenges.
Support innovation challenges, hackathons, AI competitions, and technology-focused initiatives.
Establish appropriate metrics for measuring programme performance, technical outcomes, and impact.
Document lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations for future programmes.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of relevant experience in AI, technology, programme management, technical project management, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience leading technology or AI-focused projects and programmes.
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical applications.
Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI APIs, prompt engineering, AI agents, data analytics, automation, or related technologies.
Experience working with technical teams, developers, data professionals, researchers, or technology partners.
Strong project/programme management experience, including planning, budgeting, risk management, monitoring, and reporting.
Experience developing or managing technology-focused training or capacity-building programmes is an advantage.
Proficiency in tools such as Python, SQL, Git/GitHub, cloud platforms, APIs, Power BI, or other relevant technical tools is an advantage.
Familiarity with project management platforms such as Jira, Notion, Asana, Trello, or Monday.com is an advantage.
