Key Responsibilities
Process and manage monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, HELB, etc.)
Maintain uptodate payroll records and ensure timely submission of statutory returns
Prepare and post payroll journals to the general ledger
Coordinate with HR on employee contracts, onboarding, exits, and benefits administration (medical insurance, pensions)
Handle payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and internal policiesFinancial Accounting Support
Assist in monthend and yearend closing processes
Support preparation of financial statements and audit schedules
Reconcile payrollrelated accounts and assist in general ledger maintenance
Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes related to staff costsConfidentiality & Compliance

Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements
Support internal and external audits related to payroll and employee costsRequirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably with a Big 5 firm
Proven experience in payroll processing and financial accounting
Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage 300, Dynamics 365) and Excel
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
