About the job

  • The Supply Planning Executive is responsible for converting the agreed demand plan into an executable, capacity and material constrained supply plan that delivers customer service while optimizing inventory, manufacturing efficiency and working capital

Main Purpose of the job

  • To develop and maintain an accurate, feasible and cost-effective supply plan that balances customer demand, inventory targets, material availability, manufacturing capacity and supply constraints.
  • The role is responsible for translating the agreed demand plan into detailed supply and production requirements, identifying risks and constraints early, and driving cross-functional actions to ensure high customer service while optimizing inventory and working capital.
  • The Supply Planning Executive will work closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Finance and Customer Service to ensure end-to-end supply continuity across Godrej Nigeria's portfolio.
  • The role will also drive continuous improvement in planning processes, SAP/MRP effectiveness, inventory health, supply responsiveness and planning reliability.

Supply Planning & Production Planning

  • Develop and maintain the 12 - 18 month supply plan aligned with the approved demand plan.
  • Translate demand requirements into production and replenishment requirements.
  • Develop detailed production plans within available capacity, labour, material and equipment constraints.
  • Balance production efficiency, minimum batch sizes, changeovers, inventory targets and customer service.
  • Monitor production plan adherence and proactively resolve deviations.
  • Identify capacity constraints and recommend mitigation actions

Material Planning & Availability

  • Convert production requirements into RM/PM requirements through SAP/MRP.
  • Monitor material availability and supplier lead times.
  • Identify potential material shortages well ahead of production.
  • Partner with Procurement to manage shortages, MOQ, lead times and supplier constraints.
  • Support decisions on local versus imported materials where applicable.
  • Maintain appropriate safety stock and replenishment parameters.
  • Escalate critical supply risks with clear impact and recovery plans.

Finished Goods & Inventory Management

  • Maintain finished-goods inventory within agreed target levels.
  • Optimize inventory across service level, working capital and obsolescence.
  • Monitor slow-moving, excess, ageing and obsolete inventory.
  • Identify inventory risks arising from demand changes, new products and product discontinuations.
  • Recommend stock reallocation or deployment actions where required.
  • Drive reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.

Supply Risk & Exception Management

  • Maintain a forward-looking supply risk and constraint dashboard.
  • Identify potential stock-outs, capacity constraints and material shortages.
  • Quantify business impact and develop recovery scenarios.
  • Escalate critical risks through the appropriate governance forums.
  • Track mitigation actions to closure.
  • Conduct scenario planning for major demand, supply or capacity changes

Supply Risk & Exception Management

  • 'Maintain a forward-looking supply risk and constraint dashboard.

  • Provide supply inputs into the monthly IBP/S&OP cycle.
  • Prepare supply scenarios against the latest demand plan.
  • Highlight capacity, material, inventory and service constraints.
  • Recommend trade-offs between service, inventory, capacity and cost.
  • Support management decisions through data-driven scenarios.
  • Ensure agreed IBP actions are translated into the operational supply plan.
  • Supply Chain Risk Management - Nigeria. Should be understood and incorporated:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Material Planning or Demand & Supply Planning, preferably within an FMCG/manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supply plans across multiple SKUs, production lines and/or manufacturing sites.
  • Experience using SAP/MRP to translate demand into material and production requirements.
  • Experience in inventory optimisation, safety stock, material availability and supply-risk management.
  • Experience participating in S&OP/IBP processes and presenting supply scenarios, constraints and recommendations.
  • Experience managing cross-functional supply-chain issues and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Expert knowledge in our areas of responsibility.
  • End-to-end supply planning and manufacturing planning processes.
  • FMCG supply-chain dynamics, including demand variability, seasonality, product lifecycle and promotional requirements.
  • Manufacturing capacity, production scheduling, inventory and material planning.
  • SAP/MRP planning parameters, master data and exception management.
  • Local and imported supply chains, supplier lead times and supply-risk management.
  • Working-capital implications of inventory and service-level decisions.
  • Godrej Nigeria's product portfolio, manufacturing footprint, supply-chain processes and key business interfaces.
