Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency in preparation, presentation, and timely delivery.
Develop and review menus, standardize recipes, and introduce new dishes across buffet, la carte, banqueting, and conference catering.
Supervise, train, schedule, and mentor kitchen staff, maintaining productivity and discipline.
Ensure food hygiene, sanitation, storage, and preparation standards in line with HACCP and Kenyan food safety regulations.
Prepare and manage kitchen budgets, monitor food costs, control wastage, and manage inventory.
Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to dietary requirements, and maintain high food quality standards.
Coordinate with General Manager and other departments for smooth delivery of conferences, banquets, weddings, and events. Key Requirements
Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Production, or related field.
5–8 years of progressive culinary experience in branded hotels or established hospitality operations.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Head Chef, (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});Executive Chef, or senior kitchen leadership role.
Mandatory hotel preopening experience.
Strong experience in banqueting, buffet, la carte, and conference catering.
Knowledge of Kenyan and international cuisine, menu development, and recipe standardization.
Valid Food Handler’s Certificate; HACCP or Food Safety certification is an advantage.
