Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English Language or a discipline related to the role (i.e. Education, Linguistics, TESOL, etc.).
  • 7 years post-qualification experience teaching and supporting students with EAL needs within a school setting, secondary-school environment desirable.
  • The possession of a Master's in English or related fields will be an added advantage.
  • Qualified teacher status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification and/or a recognised TEFL qualification.
  • Experience teaching students for whom English is an additional language within a British or international school.

Qualifications & Skills Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in English, English Education, or related field. Teaching qualification or certification (e.g., PGDE, TRCN registration) is an added advantage. Proven experience preparing students for NECO/BECE exams. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Proficiency in using digital tools and educational technology. Passion for teaching and mentoring young learners. Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying abilities. Commitment to continuous professional development. Strong organizational and communication skills.
