This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who takes pride in a well-run, accurate store.
- Receive all incoming raw materials and bought-in goods against purchase orders in our inventory system verify quantity and quality, record accurate receipt dates, and flag shortages, overages or damage.
- Issue materials to production against manufacturing orders (MOs) and record consumption accurately.
- Receive finished goods from packing into the finished-goods store and book them into our inventory system.
- Pick, pack and record transfers
- Own stock accuracy: run regular cycle counts, maintain bin locations, reconcile the system against physical stock, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Keep the stores clean, organised, labelled and secure; apply FIFO where it matters.
- Flag low stock and reorder triggers to the Inventory Planner and support the replenishment cycle.
- Maintain clean receiving records, stock movements and stock reports.
- Uphold stock security, housekeeping and safety standards in the stores.
- 3+ years in stores, warehouse or inventory control, ideally in manufacturing or retail distribution.
- Hands-on experience with an inventory / MRP / ERP system and able to learn a new system quickly.
- Strong numeracy and accuracy, with a disciplined, systematic approach to record-keeping.
- Organised, reliable and honest.
- Understanding of bills of materials (BOMs), and familiarity with cycle-counting and stock-accuracy practices.
