Stc - Handyman Saa Technical (12 Months)

Job Purpose

• The Handyman is responsible for performing general building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep activities across the SAA Group portfolio.
• The role supports the maintenance of company facilities by carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on building infrastructure, fixtures, fittings, and associated equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained working environment

Principal Accountabilities

• Perform general maintenance, repair, and installation work on buildings, offices, and facility infrastructure
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on building fixtures, fittings, and equipment
• Carry out basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling and masonry maintenance tasks
• Repair doors, ceilings, partitions, locks, windows, furniture, flooring, and other building components
• Inspect facilities regularly and identify maintenance issues requiring corrective action
• Respond to maintenance requests and breakdowns within agreed service levels
• Install and replace fixtures, fittings, shelving, signage, and office equipment as required
• Conduct minor renovations and refurbishment work to support facility improvements
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality, safety, and operational standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and timeously
• Assist with office moves, space changes, and facility setup activities when required
• Monitor the condition of facilities and report infrastructure defects, risks, and maintenance requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12/Matric or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4
• Relevant technical or trade qualification advantageous
• Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience in general building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or handyman services
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, tiling and masonry maintenance
