- We are seeking a creative, strategic, and digitally savvy Social Media Manager to manage and grow the hotel's online presence across relevant social media platforms.
- The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing engaging content, managing the hotel's social media accounts, promoting rooms, restaurants, events, facilities, and special offers, engaging with guests and potential customers online, and supporting the hotel's overall marketing and business development objectives.
- The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of social media trends, content creation, digital marketing, photography/video content, and online customer engagement, with a good understanding of the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Social Media Management:
- Manage the hotel's official social media accounts and maintain a consistent online presence.
- Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with the hotel's marketing and business objectives.
- Create and maintain a content calendar covering daily, weekly, and monthly campaigns.
- Schedule and publish relevant content across approved platforms.
- Ensure all social media pages contain accurate, current, and engaging information.
- Create high-quality photos, videos, reels, stories, graphics, captions, and other digital content.
- Showcase hotel rooms, restaurants, bar, facilities, events, guest experiences, promotions, and special packages.
- Capture behind-the-scenes content and activities that reflect the hotel's brand and hospitality experience.
- Work with hotel departments to identify content opportunities.
- Ensure all published content maintains the hotel's brand standards and professional image.
Guest Engagement & Online Customer Service:
- Monitor comments, direct messages, mentions, reviews, and enquiries across social media platforms.
- Respond to customers promptly, professionally, and courteously.
- Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, promotions, events, and booking channels.
- Forward booking enquiries and service complaints to the appropriate departments.
- Monitor online conversations about the hotel and respond appropriately where necessary.
Brand Promotion & Marketing:
- Promote the hotel's rooms, accommodation packages, restaurant, bar, conference facilities, events, weddings, and other services.
- Develop creative campaigns to attract new guests and encourage repeat visits.
- Support promotional campaigns developed by the General Manager, Business Development Manager, and Sales & Marketing team.
- Develop content around public holidays, festive periods, special events, and relevant local occasions.
- Identify opportunities to increase the hotel's visibility and engagement online.
Digital Campaigns & Advertising:
- Assist in planning and managing paid social media advertising campaigns.
- Develop appropriate advertising content for targeted audiences.
- Monitor campaign performance and make adjustments where necessary.
- Work within approved advertising budgets and hotel marketing guidelines.
- Coordinate with external designers, photographers, influencers, or digital agencies when required.
Influencer & Partnership Management:
- Identify suitable local influencers, content creators, bloggers, and hospitality-related personalities for potential collaborations.
- Coordinate approved influencer visits, content collaborations, and promotional activities.
- Maintain professional relationships with relevant digital partners.
- Ensure collaborations align with the hotel's brand and marketing objectives.
Online Reputation Management:
- Monitor the hotel's online reputation across social media and relevant review platforms.
- Identify recurring guest feedback, complaints, or concerns and communicate them to management.
- Encourage satisfied guests to share appropriate feedback and experiences.
- Respond professionally to negative comments and reviews in line with hotel policy.
- Escalate sensitive complaints or reputational issues to management promptly.
- Monitor social media performance, audience growth, engagement, reach, enquiries, and other relevant metrics.
- Prepare regular social media activity and performance reports for management.
- Identify successful content formats and campaigns and recommend improvements.
- Track competitor social media activities and hospitality industry trends.
- Use available data and insights to improve future content and campaigns.
Photography & Video Coordination:
- Coordinate photography and video sessions for hotel facilities, events, food, rooms, and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure images and videos accurately represent the hotel and its services.
- Maintain an organized digital library of approved photographs, videos, graphics, and marketing materials.
- Ensure appropriate permissions are obtained before publishing identifiable guest or staff content where required.
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager to support lead generation and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage on restaurant, bar, menu, and event promotions.
- Work with Front Office and Reservations to promote accommodation and booking offers.
- Coordinate with Events and Operations teams to capture and promote conferences, weddings, meetings, and other functions.
- Support management with other digital marketing activities as required.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Media Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 - 3 years of experience managing social media accounts for a business, brand, hotel, restaurant, hospitality establishment, or similar organization.
- Demonstrable experience managing platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.
- Experience creating social media content, including photographs, short-form videos, reels, stories, graphics, and promotional materials.
- Good knowledge of social media management and scheduling tools.
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, or similar content-creation applications is an advantage.
- Knowledge of digital advertising and social media paid campaigns is an advantage.
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, restaurants, events, or lifestyle brands is preferred.
- A portfolio or examples of previous social media work may be required.
