We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior Technical Subject Matter Expert - Process & Control Systems (Upstream Oil & Gas)

Job Description / Key Responsibilities
The Senior Process & Control Systems SME will provide technical leadership, independent assurance and specialist advisory services relating to process engineering, production facilities, instrumentation, automation and control systems within upstream oil and gas operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct technical reviews and assurance of process engineering designs, process safety systems and production facility configurations.
Review process design philosophies, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications and process calculations.
Assess the adequacy and reliability of instrumentation, automation and control system designs.
Provide technical assurance on Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related systems.
Review process safety studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessments and other applicable risk assessment studies.
Assess process optimization, production efficiency, facility reliability and operational performance.
Review technical specifications, engineering standards, operating procedures and control system philosophies.
Ensure alignment with applicable international standards, codes, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Support the development and implementation of technical assurance frameworks, engineering standards and process safety guidelines.
Provide technical mentorship and knowledge transfer to process, instrumentation and control systems engineers.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering or a related discipline.
Master's degree in Process Engineering, Control Systems or a relevant technical field will be an advantage.
Minimum of 25 years of cumulative international upstream oil and gas experience.
Extensive experience in process engineering, production facilities, instrumentation and control systems.
Demonstrable experience in upstream production facilities, including offshore and/or onshore operations.
Strong knowledge of process safety management, facility design, control systems and operational assurance.
Experience with HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessments and relevant engineering safety studies.
Proven experience working in technical or operational roles within major or medium-sized IOCs.
Demonstrable experience in technical assurance, engineering standards development and mentorship.
