Senior Technical Officer - Malaria

Job Description

What you will do in this role:

• Provide technical support for the implementation of malaria interventions at state and facility levels.
• Support facility and community teams in delivering quality malaria case management services.
• Conduct routine supportive supervision on malaria diagnosis and treatment protocols.
• Support the use of malaria surveillance data for program monitoring.
• Deliver against the approved GHSD milestone plan and quarterly performance targets, integrating services across the HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH platform and progressively transferring functions to Government of Nigeria ownership.
• Assist in building the capacity of health workers on malaria case management.

Minimum recruitment standard

Qualifications and experience we look for:

• A first degree in Medicine, Public Health, or a related health field.
• At least seven (7) years of experience in malaria programming, with experience on USG-funded projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of national malaria guidelines.
• Strong supervisory and mentoring skills.
