Job Description

What you will do in this role:

• Provide technical leadership for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment interventions.
• Guide the scale-up of malaria case management, chemoprevention, and vector control activities in supported states.
• Ensure malaria interventions align with National Malaria Elimination Programme guidelines and donor requirements.
• Strengthen malaria surveillance, data use, and quality improvement at facility and community levels.
• Support integration of malaria services with HIV, TB, and MNCH platforms.
• Deliver against the approved GHSD milestone plan and quarterly performance targets, integrating services across the HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH platform and progressively transferring functions to Government of Nigeria ownership.
• Represent the organization in national and state malaria technical working groups.

Minimum recruitment standard

Qualifications and experience we look for:

• A first degree in Medicine, Public Health, or a related health field.
• A master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field is required.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in malaria or infectious disease program management, with a minimum of five (5) years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of national malaria guidelines and donor-funded malaria programming.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High level of integrity and professional maturity.
