We build technology to improve lives in Africa. We're currently focused on 390 Work, software that helps businesses organise and run their operations, covering sales, inventory, finance, customers, approvals, and team responsibilities.
We’re hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help more businesses understand what 390 can do for them and give them good reasons to choose it.
About the role
You’ll own how we position and communicate 390 Work. That includes understanding our customers, deciding which problems to lead with, planning product launches and turning those decisions into useful marketing.
Our product covers several parts of a business, so knowing what to explain first matters. A business owner looking for better inventory control may need a different introduction from an operations manager trying to organise purchasing and approvals. You should understand those differences and shape the message accordingly.
You’ll work closely with the founder, product team and colleagues handling demos and onboarding. We expect you to spend time using the product, speaking with customers and listening to the questions that come up before and after someone signs up.
You’ll also produce work yourself. The job includes writing a product page, developing a campaign brief, interviewing a customer, or reviewing a video script.
What you’ll be responsible for
What we’re looking for
You should have at least five years of relevant marketing experience, including direct responsibility for product marketing at a B2B software or technology company.
We’ll look for evidence that you have:
Experience with ERP, CRM, accounting, inventory or other business management software would be useful.
Your previous job title matters less than the work you have owned. We’ll want to understand your personal contribution to the examples you share.
Assessment
If shortlisted, you'll need to submit two examples of product marketing work you have contributed to. These could include a product launch, website page, campaign, customer story or email sequence.
For one example, briefly explain:
Please remove any confidential information before sharing.
You will walk us through your work and complete a short product messaging exercise.
