- As a Senior Product Manager - Lending iOS, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the strategy, roadmap, and customer experience of FairMoney's lending products on iOS.
- You will own the end-to-end product experience for customers accessing lending products through the iOS application, from loan discovery and application to credit assessment, disbursement, repayment, and repeat borrowing.
- You will work closely with Engineering, Design, Growth, Data Science, Risk, Credit, and Operations teams to build a seamless, scalable, and data-driven lending experience. You will also work closely with the technical team to improve the scalability of the lending platform that powers our products.
- This role requires a strong understanding of lending, mobile product development, customer behaviour, and fintech, with a focus on delivering measurable improvements in conversion, customer satisfaction, loan performance, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Vision:
- Develop and execute a clear product strategy and vision for FairMoney's iOS lending experience, aligned with overall business objectives and customer needs.
- Own the strategy for the end-to-end iOS lending journey, including loan discovery, eligibility, application, credit assessment, disbursement, repayment, and repeat borrowing.
- Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve loan application conversion, activation, customer experience, and retention on iOS.
- Identify market and customer opportunities to ensure FairMoney's lending products remain competitive and relevant.
- Work closely with the technical team to shape the scalability and evolution of the lending platform that powers FairMoney's lending products.
- Balance customer needs, business objectives, risk requirements, and technical constraints when making product decisions.
Product Roadmap Management:
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Growth, Data Science, Risk, Credit, and Operations to create and execute a clear product roadmap.
- Own and prioritise the iOS lending roadmap based on business goals, customer insights, data, and technical opportunities.
- Regularly review and refine the roadmap based on market dynamics, customer feedback, product performance, and business priorities.
- Have the ability to brutally prioritise initiatives based on identified and agreed-upon goals.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure product requirements are clearly defined and successfully delivered.
- Own the customer experience of lending products within the iOS application.
- Identify and remove friction across the loan journey to improve application completion, approval, disbursement, repayment, and repeat-loan adoption.
- Partner with Design and Engineering to build intuitive, reliable, and customer-friendly lending experiences.
- Use customer feedback, product analytics, and behavioural data to continuously improve the iOS lending journey.
- Work with Growth and CRM teams to improve customer activation, engagement, and retention through relevant lending experiences.
- Ensure that lending features are consistent with the broader FairMoney mobile banking experience.
Customer Insights and Data Analysis:
- Conduct market research and customer analysis to understand customer behaviour, needs, and pain points related to lending.
- Analyse product funnels and customer behaviour across the iOS lending journey to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Define and track key product KPIs, including application conversion, approval rates, disbursement rates, repayment behaviour, repeat borrowing, and retention.
- Use data-driven insights and experimentation to make informed product decisions.
- Work closely with Data Science and Risk teams to understand credit and lending performance and translate insights into product improvements.
Product Development and Launch:
- Own the end-to-end product development process, from discovery and requirements definition through development, launch, and optimization.
- Translate customer and business problems into clear product requirements and actionable solutions.
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, QA, Risk, and Operations to deliver high-quality lending features within agreed timelines.
- Lead product launches and monitor performance after release, making data-driven improvements where required.
- Ensure that lending products meet applicable quality, risk, and compliance requirements.
Experimentation and Optimization:
- Design and execute experiments to improve the iOS lending funnel and overall customer experience.
- Continuously test and optimize onboarding, loan discovery, application, approval, disbursement, repayment, and repeat-loan experiences.
- Use A/B testing and other experimentation methods to validate product hypotheses and measure impact.
- Identify opportunities to improve both customer value and business outcomes through product optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, with strong experience in lending, fintech, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of consumer lending and digital lending products, including loan applications, credit assessment, disbursement, repayment, and repeat borrowing.
- Experience building and improving mobile products, preferably iOS or customer-facing financial applications.
- Demonstrated experience developing and launching successful fintech or lending products.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience using product analytics, funnels, KPIs, and experimentation to drive product decisions.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian and African fintech markets and an understanding of local customer preferences and behaviours is a bonus but not essential.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing and motivating high-performing product teams.

- Experience working on platform products is a plus.
- Experience working closely with mobile engineering teams is a plus.
- Experience with iOS product development, Swift, or Apple ecosystem products is a plus, but deep technical coding experience is not required.
