SENIOR FINANCIAL MANAGER
ABOUT FIELDBAR
We are a Cape Town-based manufacturing company with global ambitions in premium, designled
outdoor products. Through our FIELDBAR brand, we combine functional technicality,
craftsmanship, and bold creativity.
As we scale, protecting our culture matters as much as growing production. We value Kindness
& High Standards. We believe in building a factory and office where people feel respected,
supported, and proud of what they produce.
The Role
As our Senior Financial Manager, you will anchor Fieldbar's finance function, taking full
ownership of group-level financial reporting across our multi-entity structure. This is a technically
demanding role that sits at the intersection of rigorous accounting standards and the realities of
manufacturing.
As we scale internationally, this role becomes increasingly critical to how we understand and
control our business. You will be the technical authority on group accounting, and a trusted
partner to leadership across finance, operations, and supply chain.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To own the integrity of Fieldbar's group financial reporting, from multi-entity consolidations and
IFRS-compliant statutory accounts to inventory valuations and cost of goods analysis. You will
ensure our financial data accurately reflects the realities of a growing manufacturing business
operating across multiple entities and currencies, and that our controls are tight enough to scale
with us.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ownership of the full group consolidation cycle, monthly, quarterly, and annual across all
Fieldbar entities, including intercompany eliminations, loan account management, and
multi-currency conversions
• Preparation and ownership of IFRS-compliant statutory financial statements and
consolidated management packs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Oversight of the group inventory ledger, including raw material, WIP, and finished goods
valuations across all manufacturing and distribution points
• Management of foreign exchange exposures and multi-currency accounting across our
international trading operations
• Treasury and working capital oversight across manufacturing operations, coordinating
funding requirements and supporting cash flow forecasting across the Group
• Partnership with operations and supply chain to ensure commercial contracts, import
duties, and freight cost provisions are accurately captured and reported
• Support for group budgeting and rolling forecasts, providing consolidated financial input,
variance analysis, and insight to the Head of Finance and leadership
• Review and preparation of group tax compliance, including income tax, VAT and
provisional tax submissions, and deferred tax, in coordination with external tax advisors
