About the role We are looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to assess and structure asset and equipment finance deals across construction, mining, transport, agriculture, aviation, power generation and other approved sectors. You will form an independent view of clients and deals, protect the business from unsuitable risk, and guide a team of junior analysts. Key responsibilities Analyse clients, directors, shareholders, related entities and sureties, covering financial statements, cash flow, existing debt and warning signs. Evaluate and structure deals, recommending deposits, terms, instalments, rates, balloons and security, and pushing back where the structure doesn't protect us. Assess assets and security, including market value, forced-sale value, resale potential, condition and enforceability. Write clear credit reports with a firm recommendation (approve, decline, defer or request more information), and present them at credit meetings. Challenge optimistic forecasts and remain independent of sales pressure. Review junior analysts' work, ensuring accurate calculations and consistent standards. Ensure FICA, NCR and policy compliance, with complete documentation and conditions met before payout. Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signs and recommend action on accounts in distress. Keep deal records accurate on Monday.com/CRM and track applications through to payout. Mentor juniors and help improve credit policies, templates and reporting. Minimum requirements Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management or similar. At least 5 years' credit analysis experience, including complex commercial deals. Asset finance, equipment finance, commercial lending or specialist finance experience strongly preferred. Strong grasp of financial statements, cash flow, debt servicing, ratios and credit risk. Experience with asset-backed lending, security structures and deal profitability. Knowledge of FICA and NCR. Advanced Excel and experience with workflow or CRM tools such as Monday.com. Excellent credit report writing, analytical and communication skills. Experience guiding or reviewing junior analysts is an advantage. Key competencies Independent credit judgement, commercial awareness, attention to detail, constructive challenge, deal structuring knowledge, strong communication, ability to manage multiple deadlines, integrity (including the willingness to say no), cross-team collaboration, coaching, and initiative. If you have not received a response within 2 weeks of applying, please consider your application unsuccessful.
