We are seeking a highly experienced, qualified, and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 12 years of relevant accounting experience, including substantial experience in the downstream oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of financial management, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
Manage budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes.
Monitor cash flow, treasury operations, and working capital.
Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
Supervise and develop the accounting team.
Ensure effective financial management across the company's operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 12 years of relevant accounting experience, including experience in the downstream oil and gas sector.
Must be a fully qualified ICAN member.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury management, and internal controls.
Proven experience in financial management within the downstream oil and gas industry.
Sound knowledge of applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
