Reading all prescribed books and additional resources to gain a thorough understanding of them before developing lesson plans and curricula.
Collaborating with other English department staff to develop lesson plans, teaching strategies, and interventions.
Preparing students for formal and informal assessments.
Grading tests, pop quizzes, assignments, exams, and other assessments, and communicating with parents, students, teachers, and counsellors regarding underperformance and other concerns.
Organizing guest speakers, literary events, and field trips.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English
Solid grounding in classroom management and school procedures
Strong knowledge of advanced English topics and international curricula (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE, A-Level, or equivalent).
Proficient in technology and computer applications
Up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and topics in English instruction
