Ritman College invites qualified, experienced, and visionary education leaders to apply for the position of Principal. The Principal will provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership for the College; ensure high standards of teaching, learning, discipline, staff performance, and student welfare; and promote the school's vision, values, and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and day-to-day administration of Ritman College.
  • Oversee academic planning, curriculum delivery, teaching quality, assessment, and student achievement.
  • Supervise, mentor, appraise, and develop academic and non-academic staff.
  • Maintain a safe, disciplined, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable educational regulations, policies, and professional standards.
  • Drive the use of technology in teaching, learning, assessment, and school administration.
  • Build productive relationships with parents, staff, students, the school management, and relevant education stakeholders.
  • Prepare and implement school improvement plans, reports, budgets, and operational strategies as required.
  • Safeguard the welfare, security, and holistic development of all students.

Qualifications And Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant discipline; B.Ed., B.Sc. (Ed.), B.A./B.Sc. with PGDE, Master's degree, or a higher qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Strong computer literacy, with demonstrated competence in computer-based testing systems and database management.
  • At least three years' cognate experience as a Principal in a reputable secondary school.
  • Registration or membership with a relevant professional body in the education sector.
  • Proven leadership, communication, organisational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, staff development, student discipline, and educational innovation.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Outstanding organisational skills.
