School And Hostel Nurse At Lead British International School Limited (lbis)

Role Description:

• The School and Hostel Nurse is a full-time, on-site role located at LEAD British International School, Ibadan. The nurse will provide comprehensive health services to pupils and students during school hours and within the hostel, including routine health assessments, first aid, and emergency care.
• Daily responsibilities include managing the school clinic, administering medications as prescribed, monitoring ongoing health conditions, and maintaining accurate medical records.
• The nurse will promote school health and hygiene practices, support health education initiatives, and collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and parents/guardians to address students' physical and emotional well-being.
• The role also involves coordinating referrals to external healthcare providers when necessary and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong School Nursing and School Health skills, with experience in managing health services within an educational setting.
• Professional Nursing and Medicine competencies, including assessment, treatment, and safe medication administration.
• Knowledge and experience in Pediatrics, especially in caring for children and adolescents in both school and hostel environments.
• Valid nursing license/registration and relevant professional certifications in Nigeria.
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric clinic, or community health setting is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, including adherence to school policies and regulatory requirements.
