Sanitation Inspector At Flour Mills Of Nigeria Plc

Job Purpose

• To ensure compliance with plant and equipment hygiene standards through routine sanitation inspections, monitoring of cleaning activities, and adherence to food safety and sanitation requirements.

The Job

• Conduct routine hygiene and sanitation inspections to ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and company standards, and monitor, report, and follow up on hygiene and GMP non-conformances and corrective actions
• Inspect delivery trucks, bulk tankers, and storage areas to verify cleanliness and food safety compliance, and validate the cleaning and sanitation of milling, packing, and related equipment before production
• Conduct pre-operational hygiene checks on production areas and equipment, and monitor personnel hygiene, housekeeping, waste management, and sanitation practices across the facility
• Maintain sanitation records, inspection reports, and other required documentation, and promptly escalate sanitation, food safety, and pest-related concerns to the Quality Assurance leadership
• Perform any other Quality Assurance, sanitation, or food safety duties assigned by management.
• Identify and report hygiene deficiencies, contamination risks and GMP violations.

Qualification

• Minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics and English in O'Levels (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB) in Science Discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience in manufacturing, food processing, or flour milling operations.

The Person Must:

• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene management systems.
• Demonstrate practical experience in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and sanitation operations.
• Be able to work under minimal supervision.
