Job Position: Salon Manager

Job Location: Sea Mall – Left Wing 3, First Floor, Plot 13, Block 12, Admiralty Way, Lekki - Lagos

Job Summary

  • As we expand our new Lekki Salon + Retail Store, we are on the search for Lagos-based Salon Manager to oversee the new space and support coverage across the shifts.
  • The role is eight hours a day, five days a week, with some Sunday shifts required. Sunday shifts run from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the salon and analysing results
  • Managing salon staff, timetables and overall team performance
  • Managing the salon booking process and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Ensuring services are delivered consistently in line with KA standards and SOPs
  • Monitoring salon performance, including revenue, bookings, rebooking, retail sales and other key KPIs
  • Managing stock, salon supplies, equipment and general upkeep of the space
  • Addressing client complaints and resolving service issues as they arise
  • Aiding in developing and implementing new structures and processes
  • Assisting in executing KA sales and marketing strategy
  • Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders: senior management, suppliers, colleagues and partner organisations
  • In summary, the main aim of the role is to ensure the smooth running of our salon, addressing and troubleshooting problems as they arise, managing staff and effectively communicating store activities to the Founder and other senior management.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with the following non-negotiable characteristics:

  • A bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience managing a salon or retail teamwe will follow up on references
  • Previous salon and/or retail experience is essential; relevant beauty, hospitality, customer-service or service-operations management experience may also be considered
  • A people personsomeone who can get on with junior staff, senior management and customers alike
  • A problem solver who doesn’t just burden management with issues, but can think through and present potential solutions
  • A team player who truly wants to see the business succeed
  • Demonstrable professionalism and ambition, with an extremely strong work ethic
  • The ability to think on your feet without requiring constant instructions or validation
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Strong organisational, people and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-discipline, a strong work ethic and trustworthiness
  • The thirst to keep learning
  • This is not a stylist position, so hands-on hairstyling or beauty-service experience is not required.
  • The role involves standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting light retail inventory, such as haircare products.
  • Regular breaks and a one-hour lunch break are provided.

Salary & Benefits

  • N350,000 - N450,000 monthly.
