A well-established company in the building and construction industry based in the West Rand is seeking an experienced Sales Representative. Minimum Requirements
Matric (sales-related certificate or diploma advantageous)
Minimum 5 years' external sales experience, preferably within the building and construction industry
Experience selling aggregates (sand and stone), roof tiles, or similar construction products
Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle (essential)
Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Willing to travel extensively and work Saturdays when required
Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and following up on leads
Manage existing customer relationships while growing market share
Follow up on planned, tendered, and awarded construction projects
Negotiate pricing within company guidelines to achieve sales targets
Plan and manage sales routes efficiently
Prepare quotations and follow up on projects and customer enquiries
Liaise with production regarding stock availability and delivery requirements
Provide weekly sales forecasts and project updates to management
Deliver excellent customer service and technical product support where required
