A confidential opportunity is being explored for an experienced sales leader with substantial South African heavy-commercial vehicle expertise and hands-on exposure to salvage, parts and rebuilt vehicle sales. The role leads three revenue streams: Runners: Operational trucks and trailers sold as complete units. Strippers: Written-off trucks and trailers dismantled for parts. Repair and resale: Vehicles repaired or rebuilt and resold under applicable Code 2, Code 3 or Code 3A classifications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Own sales strategy, pipelines, targets, pricing and gross profit across all three streams. Build buyer networks across fleets, dealers, workshops, rebuilders, parts traders, insurers, salvage buyers, brokers and relevant export markets. Lead specialist sales teams, develop capability and personally close major deals. Manage stock visibility, leads, quotations, CRM, conversion, stock ageing and forecasts. Partner with sourcing, yard, dismantling and workshop teams to decide whether to sell, strip or repair each unit, considering recovery value, costs, demand and time to cash. Drive stock turnover, dismantling priorities, recovery value and margin protection. Report weekly on revenue, gross profit, vehicle and parts sales, inventory recovery, pipelines, conversion and ageing; implement corrective action. REQUIREMENTS: Substantial South African heavy-commercial industry experience. Truck-industry expertise is essential. Proven knowledge of used/salvage trucks, trailers, major components, parts interchangeability, salvage valuations, dismantling economics, repair feasibility and resale pricing. Established buyer relationships across running vehicles, used parts, damaged units and rebuilt vehicles, supported by verifiable transactions. Demonstrated revenue, gross-profit, stock-turn and recovery results across multiple categories or sales channels. Experience leading specialist salespeople while remaining hands-on with key transactions. Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and turnaround execution skills. Experience in commercial salvage, used-truck/trailer trading, dismantling, parts, rebuilding, auctions or insurance salvage is relevant. Dealership experience must include credible salvage/parts exposure. Industry credibility and measurable results carry more weight than title or formal qualifications. INITIAL FOCUS: Build coordinated pipelines and customer acquisition plans for each stream, implement weekly reporting and maximise recovery from every acquisition. Support a targeted minimum monthly sales run rate of approximately R13.5 million, subject to approved budgets and role-specific targets. Please include your relevant salvage/parts experience, sales channels managed, buyer networks, verifiable revenue and gross-profit results, team size, current package and availability.
