Minimum Requirements Valid SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) - NON-NEGOTIABLE. Relevant Health and Safety qualification. Previous experience as a Safety Officer on construction or project sites. Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations. Experience conducting risk assessments, safety inspections and incident investigations. Strong communication, reporting and administrative skills. Must be willing and able to work on-site in Skaapvlei. Ability to work independently and enforce safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards. Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety legislation. Maintain safety files, registers and compliance documentation. Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and risk assessments. Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective action. Monitor contractors and employees to ensure compliance with site safety procedures. Prepare safety reports and liaise with site management.
