Working hours: Mon - Fri 13:00 - 18:30. Extra murals end at 14:30 , but if there are no extra murals the candidate must be available from 13:00. Flexibility would be required if they are running late or if there is a parents evening etc (paid at overtime).

Rosebank - AU PAIR - AFTERNOONS and FULL DAYS DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Ages: Son aged 5 turning 6 in Feb 2027

School holiday hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 18:30
Duties: Collect from school, take to extra murals, assist with homework or school projects, buy any school supplies that are needed, prepare lunch and snacks, shower and get him prepared for bed. Prepare his dinner. During the holidays, take him on outings, engage in fun stimulating play and activities. I would also like the au pair to be able to plan his snacks, meals and lunches for the week and to do the appropriate Grocery shopping
Requirements: I would like a mature au pair, preferably older than 25 who has enough years of experience with kids aged 5-10. They need to have a soft caring personality and be punctual, trustworthy, responsible and slightly flexible in terms of last minute meetings etc that come up. Some teaching experience would be desirable.
We are Hindu and don't consume beef and pork so unfortunately I will not permit cooking of these items or the consumption of it while the au pair is on duty at home with my son.
Start date: 06 January 2027 - Permanent Role - permanent contract
Salary: R15500 - R16500 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95) for any driving done directly for the family. Not to get to and from work.
All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:
Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal childcare experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
Must have their own, reliable car and at least 12 months driving experience.
Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
