Responsibilities;

  • Conduct risk assessments for property acquisitions, developments, investments, contracts, and major business decisions.
  • Maintain and regularly update the company's risk register and risk appetite framework.
  • Monitor key risk indicators and provide timely reports to senior management.
  • Evaluate risks associated with real estate projects, including construction delays, cost overruns, contractor performance, planning approvals, title issues, and market conditions.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, Projects, Property Management, Investment, Procurement, and other departments to implement appropriate risk controls.
  • Review business processes and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
  • Support business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Investigate significant incidents, losses, control failures, and emerging risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and relevant committees.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends, regulatory developments, economic conditions, and risks affecting the real estate sector.

Requirements;

  • Must have studied finance and be certified with other certifications like ICAN, FRM, CFA, PRM and, or CRM
  • Must have worked as a financial risk manager
  • Must be proficient with relevant computer tools
  • Minimum of 4 years of active working experience
