Position Summary

  • The Rigger is a critical field-based role responsible for the safe installation, lifting, positioning, and securing of telecommunications equipment, antennas, microwave dishes, and related infrastructure on cell towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures. This individual will work closely with Field Support Engineers, installation teams, and vendor partners to ensure all equipment is correctly mounted and securely fitted while adhering to strict safety standards. The ideal candidate is physically fit, technically proficient, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in high-pressure, outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Installation & Lifting

  • Safely lift, hoist, position, and secure telecommunications equipment, antennas, microwave radios, and cables on towers, rooftops, and elevated structures.
  • Operate rigging equipment including winches, pulleys, ropes, hoists, and lifting devices in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Install and mount antennas, microwave dishes, and transmission equipment according to engineering specifications and site plans.
  • Secure all equipment using appropriate fasteners, brackets, and mounting hardware to ensure stability and durability.

Tower & Site Work

  • Perform climbing activities on cell towers and elevated structures using proper safety harnesses and fall protection systems.
  • Field teams with equipment deployment, cable routing, and structured cabling at cell sites.
  • Inspect rigging points, anchorages, and structural components before and during lifting operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and site access teams to ensure safe and timely completion of installation tasks.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and industry best practices for tower work and rigging operations.
  • Conduct pre-job safety assessments and risk evaluations for all lifting and installation activities.
  • Maintain safety equipment including harnesses, lanyards, helmets, and protective gear in working condition.
  • Report safety hazards, accidents, or near-miss incidents immediately to the supervisor.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, rigging activities, and site modifications.
  • Create and update equipment inventory logs and installation reports as required.
  • Communicate effectively with field engineers, project managers, and vendor teams regarding progress and issues.
  • Provide clear verbal and written updates on task completion and any challenges encountered.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical/Vocational certification in rigging, tower work, or related field is highly desirable.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in tower rigging, telecommunications installation, or construction rigging.
  • Prior telecommunications or cell site experience is strongly preferred.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficient in operating rigging equipment (winches, hoists, pulleys, ropes) safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of antenna mounting, microwave equipment installation, and cable management.
  • Familiarity with tower climbing procedures, fall protection systems, and safety harness usage.
  • Understanding of basic telecommunications infrastructure (antennas, radios, cables, conduits).
  • Ability to read and interpret installation diagrams, site plans, and engineering specifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and medically able to perform essential job responsibilities including climbing tall structures and lifting heavy equipment.

The project has supported community-level structures, including Ward Development Support Committees (WDSCs), to participate in development planning and articulate community priorities. To support the translation of these community priorities into sustainable development actions, the project seeks to strengthen the capacity and commitment of LGA political and administrative leadership to recognize, consider, integrate and respond to community priorities through existing government planning, budgeting and service delivery systems. The proposed training will strengthen the capacity of LGA leadership on inclusive and participatory governance, participatory planning, gender-responsive planning and budgeting, citizen engagement, social accountability and institutional mechanisms for sustaining community participation. PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT The purpose of the consultancy is to strengthen the capacity of core political and administrative leadership in the three target LGAs to effectively drive and support inclusive, participatory and gender-responsive governance and planning processes that contribute to sustainable Community Development Planning implementation. The assignment will particularly strengthen participants' ability to: apply inclusive and participatory governance approaches; integrate gender and inclusion into planning and budgeting; link community-identified priorities with LGA planning and budgeting processes; strengthen citizen engagement and social accountability; clarify institutional roles and responsibilities; strengthen coordination among LGA structures, WDSCs, communities and stakeholders; and Develop practical institutional action and commitment plans. About the Role We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer who understands how payments systems, cross-border flows, and digital assets infrastructure intersect with AML/CFT/CPF and regulatory requirements. This is an experienced, hands-on role where you will be the person who supports and builds the operational compliance infrastructure. You will operate at the intersection of traditional payments processing and frontier stablecoin infrastructure. Your primary objective is to ensure that as Paystack expands into cross-border, stablecoin-powered money movement, the compliance program remains both operationally executable and regulatory mature. You will own four interconnected areas: Merchant onboarding compliance and KYB/KYC operations and, FSCA CASP and FICA compliance for our South Africa entity, Travel Rule implementation, and transaction monitoring across multi-corridor stablecoin and fiat flows. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, and our licensed partners to ensure the compliance programme is both operationally executable and regulatory defensible.
