Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of revenue from inpatient, outpatient, pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostics, and other hospital services.
Reconcile daily collections against hospital management system records and bank deposits, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Verify cashier receipts and ensure correct classification of income by service line and payment method.
Supervise cashiering operations, monitor performance, and ensure accurate payment posting, official receipt issuance, cash handovers, and bank deposits.
Review end-of-day reconciliations and enforce compliance with internal cash-handling procedures and financial controls.
Prepare periodic revenue reports by department, payer category, and reporting period to support financial planning and decision-making.
Conduct revenue variance analysis, identify revenue leakages and underperformance, and recommend corrective measures.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of revenue reports for monthly and year-end financial reporting.
Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for revenue transactions and support internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, revenue recognition principles, and hospital policies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
CPA qualification, minimum Section 4.
At least three (3) years of relevant experience in an organization of similar size.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of revenue accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and hospital management systems, particularly billing and revenue reporting modules.
Excellent analytical skills, including revenue variance analysis and identification of revenue leakages.
High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial records, receipts, and reconciliations.
Strong understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and financial compliance.
Demonstrated ability to supervise, guide, and support cashiering teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
High levels of integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
