- If a missing signature on a trip sheet bothers you, a mismatched batch number feels personal, and a stock variance is simply a mystery waiting to be solved, you may have just found your next move.
The Role (or your chance to bring order to the returns pile)
- As our Returns & Inventory Administrator, you'll make sure every stock return and customer claim is accurately accounted for and processed on time. From matching RMAs and batch numbers to counting stock and shipping transfer orders, you'll keep our stock records honest - not by luck, but by sheer attention to detail.
- Based at our Distribution Centre in Centurion, you'll work hand in hand with the warehouse team and report to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
What you'll be doing (besides making the numbers add up)
- Debrief with the Warehouse Supervisor(s) to confirm that all RMAs were collected, POs signed according to the trip sheet, and all documentation is accounted for and matches - with a particularly keen eye on batch numbers
- Compare returned stock to its paperwork, create Returns Orders on the system, and allocate stock to the right location
- Complete journal entries for stock not returned by customers (for example, stock no longer fit for pet consumption)
- File and track delivery documents so nothing goes walkabout
- Investigate the root causes of claims, then identify and implement solutions to reduce them
- Lend a hand with general office support and administrative duties
- Compare damaged stock quantities on the system to what's physically on the shelf, and investigate any variances
- Complete cycle counts according to schedule and assist with monthly stock counts across all locations
- Sort returns for rework where relevant
- Scan stock to the dispatch area and verify that the system tells the same story
- Complete Transfer Orders and have stock ready to load when the truck arrives
- Dispatch the load and ship the Transfer Order
- Confirm receipt at the other end and investigate any variances
Health & Safety and General Administration
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Food Safety Standards (FSSC 22000) - pets deserve nothing less
- Identify and report health and safety hazards
- Uphold personal hygiene standards
