Key Responsibilities * Assist Grade 5 and Grade 2 learners with daily homework and schoolwork. * Provide guidance and support with school projects and assignments. * Assist learners in preparing for tests and examinations. * Provide additional academic support where required. * Reinforce concepts taught at school and identify areas where learners may require additional assistance. * Assist particularly with Mathematics and other core subjects. * Prepare learners for examinations, including additional weekend sessions when required. * Create a calm, structured and positive learning environment. * Exercise patience and understanding when working with learners with special educational needs. Key Requirements * Teaching qualification is essential. * Minimum 5-10 years' teaching experience, preferably more. * Must have previous experience teaching in Afrikaans. * Strong proficiency in Mathematics. * Experience working with Grade 2 and Grade 5 learners will be advantageous. * Must be patient, nurturing and able to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learners. * Experience working with children with special educational needs will be highly advantageous. * Must have own reliable transport. * Must be reliable, punctual and committed. * A retired teacher with a passion for education and helping children reach their full potential would be ideal. Working Schedule Monday - Thursday: Afternoons Exam Periods: Additional weekend sessions may be required for exam preparation.
