Retail Sales Representative

Job Description

• The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for attending to customers, promoting and selling the company's products, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• The role involves demonstrating products, assisting customers in making purchasing decisions, meeting sales targets, maintaining proper product displays, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and attend to their inquiries professionally.
• Promote and sell mobile phones, gadgets, accessories, and other available products.
• Provide accurate information about product features, specifications, prices, warranties, and payment options.
• Demonstrate product functionality and assist customers in selecting suitable products.
• Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat purchases.
• Handle customer complaints and refer complex issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain proper product displays and ensure the sales area is clean, organized, and attractive.
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock, damaged products, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Ensure accurate sales recording, payment processing, and issuance of receipts in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow company policies on customer service, product handling, attendance, dress code, and workplace conduct.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

• OND, NCE, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Relevant sales or customer service training is desirable.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related position is preferred.
• Experience selling mobile phones, electronics, gadgets, or accessories is an advantage.
• Candidates without prior experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and a passion for sales.
• Evidence of achieving sales targets or handling customers effectively will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Must be courteous, presentable, and customer-focused.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and disciplined.
• Must demonstrate honesty in handling company products, cash, and sales records.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned store or be willing to relocate.
