Restaurant General Manager (rgm) - Athlone / Wetton & Eerste River

Salary: R12 500 - R20 000 per month, depending on experience.

The role

You will run your own KFC restaurant from start to finish across People, Customer, Sales and Profit. You will lead the Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Shift Supervisors and crew.

• People: recruit and staff the new restaurant; build a high-performance team culture; train, develop and performance-manage the team; handle employee relations and attendance; keep accurate staff and training records; ensure full Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Security compliance.
• Customer: create a welcoming, customer-focused restaurant; deliver product quality and service standards on every shift; drive ROCC evaluations and action plans; handle customer complaints professionally.
• Sales: drive sales through great operations and service; build a strong sales culture against targets; ensure product, promotion and POS knowledge; manage forecasting, stock ordering and product availability.
• Profit: control labour, food and operating costs; manage the restaurant's profitability; review daily, weekly and monthly performance reports.
• New store opening: set up the team, routines and standards to open in December.

Requirements

• Matric (non-negotiable).
• 3 - 5 years' restaurant management experience in a high-volume QSR (quick service restaurant) environment.
• Previous KFC experience is highly advantageous. Experience with other QSR brands will be considered.
• Strong people leadership and a customer-centric mindset.
• Proven cost control (labour and food), stock ordering and reporting experience.
• Excellent communication, planning and time-management skills.
• Able to work QSR shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Living within commuting distance of Athlone / Wetton or Eerste River is advantageous.
