REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT

Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing
Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya;
Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collects pretreatment patient data
Ensuring that treatments are administered to ICU patients correctly.
Checking and recording patients' vitals before and during treatment.
Monitoring patients' vitals and promptly notify the appropriate medical practitioner of any problems that occur during treatments.
Working with the Biomedical team to ensure that ICU machines and equipment are set up correctly
Ensure accurate documentation, proper record keeping {and storage for continuity, quality, and legal reference.
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the departmental nurse incharge from time to time.
