WHAT YOU'LL DO

Global Talent Acquisition & Sourcing

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across multiple international markets outside Kenya.
  • Proactively source, headhunt, engage, and assess candidates for diverse roles and functions.
  • Partner with hiring managers and global leaders to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong international talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Deliver a positive, engaging, and candidate-centric recruitment experience throughout the hiring journey.
  • Represent Eskimi's employer brand and values when engaging with candidates globally.
  • Leverage modern recruitment technology, AI sourcing tools, automation, and workflow solutions to improve recruitment efficiency and quality.
  • Continuously identify and experiment with new sourcing methods, tools, and approaches to strengthen our global talent acquisition capabilities.

People Operations, Employee Relations & Global Mobility

  • Act as the primary local People contact for employees and managers in Kenya.
  • Handle employee relations matters, grievances, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution with fairness, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Coordinate employee relocation and global mobility processes, including visas and work permits.
  • Act as the key liaison between candidates/employees, internal stakeholders, and external legal or immigration counsel.
  • Coordinate required documentation, timelines, communication, and process requirements related to relocation and immigration.
  • Execute global People processes locally, including onboarding, performance review cycles, employee lifecycle activities, and offboarding.
  • Ensure local People practices are aligned with Eskimi's global policies, frameworks, and standards.
  • Maintain accurate People documentation, reporting, and process governance.
  • Support employee engagement, well-being, recognition, and culture initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted and approachable People partner for employees, helping address day-to-day workforce topics effectively and confidentially.

Workplace Coordination & Operational Standards

  • Participate in leadership discussions and provide advice, consultation, and People-related insights on internal operational, workplace, and organizational topics.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day workplace coordination and ensure a positive, professional, and well-functioning office environment.
  • Coordinate local vendors, workplace services, office supplies, and facility-related matters.
  • Ensure alignment with workplace policies, health and safety standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, outdated practices, and opportunities to improve workplace functionality and employee experience.
  • Initiate and suggest practical improvements to local People and workplace processes.
  • Support the smooth implementation of Eskimi's 4 days in-office / 1 day remote hybrid working model.
  • Work closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure local workplace practices remain aligned with Eskimi's broader operational standards.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU DO IT

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in global or cross-border talent acquisition, with experience hiring candidates across multiple countries outside Kenya.
  • Strong experience managing full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing and headhunting through offer management and onboarding.
  • Previous experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and People operations.
  • Experience coordinating relocation, visa, or work permit processes and working with legal/immigration partners.
  • Experience working in a structured corporate or multinational environment with established HR frameworks and processes.
  • Strong ability to operate independently as an Individual Contributor, taking ownership of People and workplace responsibilities while effectively consulting with leadership.
  • Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and providing practical recommendations on workforce, workplace, and operational topics.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with global leaders and teams across different countries and time zones.
  • A genuine interest in AI, automation, and modern HR technology, with the curiosity to continuously explore and adopt new tools.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with fluent written and spoken English.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different countries and time zones.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and approachable personalityyou genuinely enjoy working with people.
  • Strong ownership mentality, initiative, sound judgment, and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Based in Nairobi and willing to work 4 days in-office and 1 day remotely.
