- The Recruitment & Training Specialist is responsible for managing the Company's recruitment activities and coordinating learning and development initiatives across the Group.
- The role ensures that JAMUB attracts qualified Partners, maintains a strong talent pipeline, identifies competency gaps, and coordinates relevant training and development programmes to improve Partner capability and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Manage recruitment activities for approved vacancies across the Group.
- Source qualified candidates through appropriate recruitment platforms, professional networks, referrals, and other channels.
- Review applications and CVs against approved Job Description s and recruitment requirements.
- Conduct initial candidate screening and competency-based interviews.
- Prepare qualified candidates for interview panels and coordinate interview schedules.
- Maintain an updated recruitment tracker and candidate database.
- Coordinate reference checks, pre-employment documentation, offer issuance, and onboarding activities.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions.
- Support recruitment for technical, engineering, construction, corporate, and professional positions as required.
Training Needs Analysis & Development:
- Coordinate the Company's Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across departments and business units.
- Identify competency and performance gaps through approved assessment methods, performance reviews, departmental inputs, and Management requirements.
- Consolidate identified training needs and prepare training priorities for Management review.
- Develop and maintain an annual training and development plan based on identified competency gaps and organizational priorities.
- Recommend appropriate internal and external training interventions.
- Coordinate approved training programmes, workshops, seminars, technical training, and professional development activities.
- Liaise with approved training providers, consultants, facilitators, and institutions.
- Coordinate training schedules, nominations, attendance, materials, venues, and other training requirements.
- Maintain complete records of Partner participation in training and development programmes.
- Monitor completion of mandatory and approved training programmes.
- Coordinate post-training evaluations and gather feedback on training effectiveness.
Learning & Development Records:
- Maintain an updated training database covering training attended, certifications, competency areas, costs, and renewal requirements where applicable.
- Maintain individual and departmental training records.
- Track professional certifications and relevant development requirements.
- Ensure training documentation is properly maintained and available for Management review and audit purposes.
Recruitment & Training Reporting:
- Prepare periodic recruitment and training reports for the Head, HCM & Administration.
- Report on recruitment progress, vacancy status, candidate pipelines, recruitment timelines, and hiring outcomes.
- Report on training participation, expenditure, completion rates, competency gaps, and training effectiveness.
- Highlight recruitment or competency gaps requiring Management attention.
Partner Development & Talent Management:
- Support onboarding and induction programmes for newly engaged Partners.
- Support graduate trainee, internship, SIWES, and other early-career talent programmes.
- Support initiatives aimed at developing internal talent and strengthening succession pipelines.
- Maintain records that support identification of Partners for relevant development opportunities.
