ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Kenchic PLC is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our Quality Assurance Department. This role is responsible for quality conformance checks and inspection of ingredients, raw materials, packaging materials, in-process and finished products. The role ensures that all products meet established food safety and quality requirements while driving a culture of continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and monitor quality and food safety requirements across receiving, production, storage, and dispatch.
  • Conduct real-time quality checks, sampling, laboratory testing, and sensory evaluations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and timely reporting of product quality and process deviations.
  • Investigate product nonconformities, customer complaints, and support root cause analysis with timely corrective actions.
  • Participate in new product development, including testing, reporting, and specification development.
  • Collect, analyze & compile statistical quality data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system and recommend corrective and preventive actions to the Quality Assurance and Systems Manager. Participate in new product development, including testing, reporting, and specification development.
  • Conduct internal audits, monitor GMP and hygiene compliance, and ensure sanitation schedules are met.
  • Manage QA programs, schedules, records, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct food safety and quality training to respective teams with the aim of driving sustainable quality and food safety culture and drive quality improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent. Bachelor's degree will be an added advantage.
  • Working Knowledge in FSSC 22000, Quality Management systems, and HACCP Principles.
  • At least 2 years of experience in FMCG industry
  • Solid experience in effective use of data analysis tools and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of quality assurance Good communication and Problem-solving skills.
