- We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven QA Tester (AI-Powered) / Project Coordinator to join our growing cross-border FinTech team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting hands-on software testing using AI-powered tools and conventional QA methodologies, identifying and documenting defects, validating fixes, and ensuring that software products meet functional, technical, security, and business requirements before release.
- The role also involves coordinating software development projects, tracking deliverables and timelines, facilitating communication between technical and business teams, managing project documentation, and supporting successful software releases.
- The ideal candidate must be comfortable using AI tools to support test case generation, test automation, defect analysis, regression testing, API validation, and testing documentation, while independently verifying AI-generated outputs for accuracy and reliability.
AI-Assisted Quality Assurance and Software Testing
- Use AI-powered testing tools to generate test cases, identify edge cases, support test automation, and improve testing efficiency.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, and end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications.
- Test cross-border payments, remittances, digital wallets, virtual accounts, FX transactions, and payment workflows.
- Conduct API testing using Postman or equivalent tools and validate third-party integrations.
- Identify, document, track, and retest software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Validate AI-generated test scripts, test data, and results before relying on them for QA decisions.
FinTech Payment and Security Testing
- Validate transaction processing, payment statuses, notifications, settlement, reconciliation, and failed-payment recovery.
- Test authentication, authorization, role-based access, and relevant KYC/KYB, AML, and fraud-monitoring workflows.
- Verify data accuracy, transaction integrity, and application behaviour under different conditions.
- Support security, performance, usability, and post-release testing activities.
Project Coordination and Delivery
- Coordinate software projects from planning and development through testing, release, and deployment.
- Track project timelines, sprint activities, milestones, deliverables, and outstanding tasks.
- Coordinate stand-ups, sprint reviews, testing sessions, UAT, and release meetings.
- Follow up with developers, Product, DevOps, Operations, and other stakeholders on pending tasks and blockers.
- Escalate risks, delays, and unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Defect, Release and Documentation Management
- Maintain test cases, test evidence, defect logs, QA reports, and project status updates.
- Coordinate release readiness checks and verify fixes before deployment.
- Support staging validation, production verification, and rollback coordination when necessary.
- Prepare concise reports on testing progress, defect trends, project risks, and release readiness.
- Recommend AI tools, test automation opportunities, and QA process improvements.
- Monitor recurring defects and support root-cause analysis.
- Ensure AI tools are used responsibly, with appropriate data protection and human review.
- Perform other related duties assigned by Management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Relevant QA, software testing, Agile, or project management certifications are an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of practical experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.
- Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, REST APIs, and software integrations.
- Experience in cross-border FinTech, banking, payments, remittance, or other financial services is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools to support software testing, test case development, defect analysis, or automation.
- Experience coordinating software projects, tracking deliverables, and working with cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum workflows, issue tracking, and software release processes.
Required Technical Skills
- AI-assisted testing: Practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or specialised AI testing platforms.
- Testing tools: Postman or equivalent API testing tools; familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks is an advantage.
- Project management: Jira, Trello, ClickUp, or equivalent task and project tracking tools.
- Technical knowledge: Understanding of APIs, HTTP status codes, JSON, databases, SQL basics, webhooks, and software development lifecycles.
- FinTech knowledge: Understanding of payment lifecycles, transaction validation, reconciliation, and financial data accuracy.
- Reporting: Ability to prepare clear test reports, defect logs, project updates, and release documentation.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Practical, hands-on testing and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use AI tools critically rather than relying blindly on generated results.
