Job Summary

• Elkris Group is seeking a qualified, passionate, and dedicated Public Health Officer to join our growing team. We are committed to improving health outcomes through quality healthcare services, health education, disease prevention, and community-based health initiatives.
• We are looking for a proactive professional who is passionate about public health, community engagement, and promoting healthier lifestyles.
• The Public Health Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring public health programs, promoting health awareness, conducting community outreach activities, and supporting disease prevention and health promotion initiatives.
• The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals, community stakeholders, and relevant departments to improve public health awareness and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement public health programs and community health initiatives.
• Conduct health education, awareness campaigns, and community outreach activities.
• Promote disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and general wellness.
• Identify public health challenges within target communities and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret public health data to support decision-making.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of public health programs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
• Prepare accurate reports on public health activities, findings, and program outcomes.
• Support health screenings, vaccination awareness, and other preventive healthcare initiatives where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with relevant public health regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies.

• Successful implementation of public health programs.
• Number of community outreach and health awareness activities conducted.
• Level of community participation and engagement.
• Effectiveness of health education and disease prevention initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Community Health, Environmental Health, Health Education, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in public health, community health, or health promotion.
• A Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of public health principles, disease prevention, and health promotion strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and community engagement skills.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret health-related data.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant reporting tools.
• Professional certification or registration with a relevant regulatory body, where applicable, is an added advantage.
