PROJECTS/CONTRACTS MANAGER (Drywall | Ceilings | Partitioning | Interior Finishes) – EAST LONDON Must have substantial hands-on experience in the construction and interior finishing environment, including: Drywall systems; Ceilings; Partitioning; Bulkheads and feature ceilings Shopfitting / interior fit-out Painting and associated finishing trades Flooring and other related finishing works General commercial building finishes Strong experience in commercial construction, tenant installations (TI), retail, warehouses, offices or similar projects will be advantageous. Qualifications A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building, Project Management or a related field will be advantageous. Relevant industry experience and proven project delivery capability will also be considered. Essential Skills The candidate must be able to: Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Complete accurate take-offs independently. Understand quantities, dimensions and material requirements. Develop and interrogate BOQs and scopes of work. Assess subcontractor quotations. Understand construction methodologies and sequencing. Manage multiple subcontractors and trades. Identify potential cost overruns and programme delays. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors. Communicate effectively with clients, consultants and site teams.
