Role Overview
The Project Control/Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure efficient project execution within the oil and gas sector.
The role requires a detail-oriented professional skilled in project planning tools and experienced in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
Track project progress, monitor key milestones, and report performance metrics.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to align timelines and deliverables.
Prepare and maintain project control documents including budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.
Develop and implement project control procedures, tools, and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Analyse project data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks; provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Support cost control, resource planning, and risk management activities.
Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in project control or planning within the oil and gas industry.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other relevant project management tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Excellent ability to interpret project data and prepare detailed progress reports.
Knowledge of project management principles, cost control, and scheduling best practices.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
